β Welcome to our Little Stars Program β
With the addition of the new Little Stars Junior, our
Little Stars Program will now be offered to
3rd through 6th graders. For new and returning students, this program will build their stage skills and confidence through deepening experience with acting, vocals, dance, and improv.
π Little Stars
Grades 3–6 | Multiple Cast Options
Ready for a bigger stage, a longer show, and a whole lot of fun?
Little Stars is where performers in grades 3–6 take the next step—building confidence, improving social skills, and learning to shine in a 60–90 minute musical on a proscenium-style stage.
Students develop basic acting skills like projection, diction, and cheating out, while also learning choreography, stage direction, and vocal performance. We focus on building and continuing improvisation to spark creativity and self-expression—especially during auditions!
We focus on Theatre being a Team Sport; show support for yourself and others!
π Choose your cast:
- Tuesdays or Thursdays | 5:45–7:45 PM
- Saturdays | 9:00–10:45 AM or 11:00–12:45 PM
Includes weekly rehearsals, tech week, and three live shows. Big roles, big energy, and a whole lot of applause await!
π How to Audition for Little Stars
Grades 3–6 | No Experience Needed
Auditions for Little Stars are welcoming, supportive, and all about discovering your child’s unique stage presence. Everyone gets a role—this process simply helps us cast them in the part where they’ll grow and shine the most!
Arriving for Auditions:
- Arrive on the day that works best for you. (If you signed up for a certain day, try to come on that day)
- Only come to ONE of the auditions (no need to be at all auditions)
- If you cannot make your normal / preferred day, you can come to any other audition group.
- Auditions will be held the normal rehearsal times (T/TH: 5:45 - 7:45 & Both Saturday casts: 9:00 - 11:00/12)
What to Expect:
- Performers will sing “Happy Birthday” solo so we can hear their vocal range and tone.
- They’ll participate in a fun, guided acting game to explore creativity and expressiveness.
- The group will learn a short dance combo so our choreographer can assess movement and customize choreography to fit the cast’s skill level.
- At this level, we also begin to look for early signs of stage presence, character choices, confidence, and having fun—not perfection, just potential!
Overall Behavior: We are also observing behavior—from the moment each student walks in the door to the moment they leave. We’re looking for respectfulness, cooperation, listening skills, and a positive attitude, both on and off the stage.
What to Bring:
- Water bottle (with your name on it)
- Dress in layers (varying room temperatures and seasons)
- Comfortable clothes and sneakers or dance shoes (no barefeet, sandals or boots)
- Optional snack if needed—though there are no designated snack breaks
- A willingness to try, a respectful attitude, and lots of energy!
There’s nothing to memorize or prepare—just come ready to move, imagine, and have fun!
