  • 🎬 Broadway Bound

Grades 9–12 (8th Grade by Exception) Saturdays 3:00–5:00 PM (Dates and Times Vary)

Ready to take your performance skills to the next level?

Broadway Bound is our high school program designed for students ready to dive deep into character development, acting, singing, and dancing—with no prior experience required! Each production is tailored to the skill level of the cast, helping every performer grow in confidence, and social presence.

Students take full ownership of their productions—this is a "help-free" group, meaning they also learn the art of “Teching” their own shows. From managing scene changes to props and backstage cues, they get hands-on experience in what it takes to run a show—offering the best of both worlds in theatre performance and production.

Performances are staged on a classic proscenium-style stage, with creative adjustments depending on the show.

We focus on Theatre being a Team Sport; show support for yourself and others!

With three productions a year, each featuring three live performances, rehearsals are typically held on Saturdays from 3:00–5:00 PM, with occasional Sundays as needed.

*8th graders interested? Email us to see if you qualify!

  • 🎬 How to Audition for Broadway Bound

Grades 9–12 (8th Grade by Exception)

Auditions for Broadway Bound are designed to challenge performers and give them the opportunity to showcase a full range of theatrical skills. Everyone is cast, but roles are determined based on preparedness, presence, and performance.

    What to Expect:

    🎵 Vocal Audition

    • Prepare 16–32 measures “bars” (about 30 seconds) of a song from a musical theatre show, to be performed acapella (without backing music).
    • No pop songs and no songs from the show being cast.
    • Keep your song choice simple! Sometimes the easiest, simple song is better to highlight your vocal range.

    🎭 Acting Audition

    • Actors will take part in cold readings from the script. - FOR IN PERSON AUDITIONS ONLY
    • We’re looking at how students interpret character, stage directions, respond to direction, and collaborate on the spot.t.
    • Monologue, if applicable for that show - FOR VIDEO AUDITION SUBMISSIONS ONLY

    🩰 Dance Audition

    • Students will learn a choreographed dance routine during the audition. This combo will be more advanced, helping our team assess technique, stage presence, and adaptability.

    👀 Professionalism & Behavior

    • We are watching from the moment you enter to the moment you leave.
    • We look for respect, preparation, collaboration, and maturity—key traits for anyone working at this performance level.
    • Students in this group also take on tech responsibilities, so teamwork and accountability are critical.
    • We ask that cell phones are away in bags during rehearsals**

    What to Bring:

    • Water bottle (with your name on it)
    • Comfortable clothes and dance-appropriate footwear (no barefeet, sandals or boots)
    • Layers (varying room temperatures and seasons)
    • Optional snack if needed (note: no formal snack break)

Come prepared, stay open, and show us who you are as both a performer and a team member. Broadway Bound is about commitment, creativity, and taking your craft to the next level!
