Upcoming Shows for Travel with Twist

CATS, Young Actors Edition

Travel with a Twist is heading to Scotland to the 2026 Edinburgh Festival Fringe to perform a brand-new twist on the classic Cats. This theatrical production reimagines a beloved feline classic through a retro-futuristic lens, blending the whimsical world of alleyway cats with the industrial elegance of Victorian steampunk. You can see the US debut of the show in Acton, MA on June 26.

As a non-profit inclusive community theatre that promotes family, education, empathy, and respect, the program fits fluidly with the spirit of the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, which celebrates unfiltered open-access creativity. The chaos and joy of youth theatre is echoed in the vibe of this festival, which is one of the greatest celebrations of arts and culture on the planet. For three weeks in August, the city of Edinburgh welcomes an explosion of creative energy across hundreds of stages all over the city with performers from around the globe. From big names in the world of entertainment to unknown artists, the festival caters to everyone and includes theatre, comedy, dance, circus, cabaret, children's shows and much more.

Cats deals with community, redemption, and the cycle of life, themes that continue to be undeniably and universally relevant. Theatre With a Twist is proud to perform a show that was collaboratively designed and created by the actors and their families. Come join the magic of our Jellicle Ball in Acton or Edinburgh or show your support to send the children’s ensemble across the pond to represent with a donation of any size.
